FelixO This album chills you out and excites at the same time. Favorite track: Reveries.
Isaac Jahns

Isaac Jahns This whole record is a V I B E. Such a cohesive work. It really flows like a record, not just a collection of songs that a lot of other Roch bands have done. Also major S/O for letting YP borrow a guitar at ROCKchester. Favorite track is truly a tie between Pontchartrain and Postal Codes. Favorite track: Pontchartrain.

aeon Vansire isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a duo with such musical ability and talent? Vansire puts the game in another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a duo with their skill and passion for music again. Favorite track: Reveries.

Reflections 01:15
Wait, here we go… Alright… Alright, talk into the mic now
2.
See if I hadn’t been down south I would have spent the time around you But since I’m probably out of town We talk and I hope it sounds true When I’m not trapped up inside I’m on a flight or amidst a drive Pray to god it doesn’t rain When I’m above Lake Pontchartrain Copper wire and an upturned ride It’s time spent staring at the sky Walking through the Marigny For Euclid past Bywater east Dodging rainclouds northbound flight If all holds I’ll be there tonight These months are passing by like fields That you and I used to drive by Now I pass in an empty seat In the bus I plan to arrive by

Montana Girl 02:34
I'm eastbound on I-90 Thinking 'bout next summer Cause we could meet in Missoula Hike until our lungs hurt Till my lungs hurt It's not all that hurts if I don't see her It's something bigger I'm feeling sure Oh Montana girl, you're on my mind Twelve long months pass but we'll be fine When I see you we will spend the time Staring at the sky from concert lines I'm eastbound out of Portland It's a lazy taste of alpine I guess you're somewhere below me Smiling under cloud lines Keep me cloud lines Cause I've spent about half of my life in fear Of things that never seem to appear For my sake leave Minnesota in June I think her name is calling you so Oh Montana girl you're on his mind Twelve long months will pass but we'll all be fine (Will I be fine, will I be fine) Wish I'd lived my life like cheers with wine And I'll think of you both as he makes the drive

The day to day is tougher I tend to fall behind in self regard It’s only nine past ten And you can see the city reach for dark Backlight spies on more than some I’ll retrace steps to where I’m wrong Building islands for the young Taking pictures in the sun I am one Roman busts and statues Repurposed cassettes Three more hours to daylight Time is running thin for bets Seems that I’ve dreaming And forthwith cross the skies Overdubs and recaps, platters multiply The soundtrack to your worries The force that’s kept inside Amidst the doubt and troubles I’ll see you there in five Backlight spies on more than some I’ll retrace steps to where I’m wrong Building islands for the young Taking pictures in the sun I am one
5.
Life’s a force majeure When you feel unsure Of the path you’ll take After what have lost The motivation key Feet in the sand I have made mistakes In the past four years Staring at the sun Trying to figure Pulling leaves and branches from the Drought stricken trees Spinning down the highway Hoping that you still feel the same
6.
Love You Too 02:59
In the distance I can see my home Apart from home itself You can find me near a highway Or in a room all by myself It’s hard to say if I’m overthinking all the things I feel I’ll take your hand in the extra moments just to know it’s real, so I’ll stay with you Cause you know we’re not alone In moments like these It’s hard to see your face like that so I’ll stay with you Love you too I dreamt I was walking around The world had turned way upside down And you were with me I’ll probably lie down with background noise just to aid the feel I’ll take your hand in the extra moments just to know it’s real, so I’ll stay with you Cause you know we’re not alone In moments like these It’s hard to see your face like that so I’ll stay with you Love you too
7.
Postal Codes 03:27
I left the gate while in a daze Cleveland’s covered in a haze Now I’m back for just awhile Above the Great Lakes by several miles On the road Postal Codes No one wants to be the first to admit they’re feeling scared Clinging to these summer months before rough feelings spread Miles above Lake Michigan at the moment it’s all fine 3 AM when I’m southeast and it seems so hypnotized Family streaming through the door An empty parking lot at four In a hammock chasing jets Finding extra time to dub cassettes
8.
I found myself in the west coast Climbing rocks and learning to let go I think about it when I’m not there But at the edge I only stare I crane my neck as I leave the sea Above the mountains moving east Look outside and know you’re not your phone Don’t take the predetermined two-way road Let’s ditch the people in the suits and coats You’re only real if you can see your vote The surf is wide and I feel the breeze Temp has dropped but I need release
9.
My phone was dead as you jumped aside A purple sweater covered your eyes Running back from the woods And these headlights make me sigh Cause I know you’re coming back for me this time (my angle’s fine) it’s here we sat with all our feet and stuff aligned Running back from the woods just to check to see you’re fine If you give me time by myself You may find I won’t misgive Open doors on two way highways Seems to be the life we live
10.
He’s cut free from the ground He’ll spread green from the sound
11.
Cherry bowl beside him Time passes by Is it irresponsible When it’s a sunny day outside

Water Boils 04:03
I’ve lived my life in the cold Changing coats as I grow old Our lives are painted in the snow The falling will coat this stone Close your window for the storm In all our houses and our dorms When all this extra time Cedes to real life I realize there’s no escape Staring at the fields Nothing’s really real I make the winter now my home I measure days by water boils Mugs of tea and frozen soil The earth is chilled and I am warm This bridge is strong but in bad form When all this extra time Cedes to real life I realize there’s no escape
14.
Reveries 03:31
I’ll miss the rolling hills I’ll miss the drives The pines and cherry trees Your soft brown eyes The hammock sways And the tape deck plays I’ll come back here another day We’ll make the same mistakes All of our lives For now we’ll lie right here And stare at the sky Windows open passing empty schools The earth is warm and I will see you soon The hammock sways And the tape deck plays I’ll come back here another day We’ll make the same mistakes All of our lives For now we’ll lie right here And stare at the sky Building islands for the young Taking pictures in the sun I am one

about

Reflections and Reveries was recorded over a one year period from August 2015 to August 2016. Special thanks to Amanda Kaus and Phil Beck and Mike for the mics used in the recording. Recording took place in the Winemiller basement and Josh's bedroom. We're just doing our own thing out here. Keeping it real. We hope you like this. Thanks to our parents and all of the supportive folks of Rochester Minnesota.
